John Shields has been with BAPI since 2007. In that time John focused his efforts on Automated Logic and Carrier, focusing on independent and branch offices, OEM partners and the corporate sales channel. In January 2020 Shields and Tim Wilder were reassigned to international Business Development & Regional Sales, catalyzing our growth in the regions of the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Prior to working for BAPI Shields worked as a District Sales Manager for Belimo from 2005 to 2007. Covering the states of NE, KS, and MO I worked with all control contracting offices, distributors, end users and consulting engineers. Shields says that “I really enjoy getting into the details of unusual applications/projects that our customers run into in the field as well as the long term relationship building both internally and externally.”

Outside of work, Shields is an avid supporter of Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. “Since 1st grade our son has been involved with cub scouts and now boy scouts. It has been a very rewarding experience to support our network of scouts. We have been able to host meetings at our house, run events such as the pinewood derby and chaperone “adventures” with a great group of kids on their way to adulthood.” Shields also enjoys projects around the house ranging from yard work to kitchen remodels to changing light bulbs.
