Position Accountabilities/Deliverables:
- Designs which meet the planned use and function requirements and customer specifications
- Software which produces the correct functionality
- Complete and accurate documentation, archives, and reports
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design products, circuits, and product components
- Write and document software
- Provide on-going support for the production process
- Complete and implement design changes based on engineering change orders
- Source materials and components meeting design specifications
- Do on-line and other research to overcome technical hurdles
- Support the timely completion of the product design-and-development process
- Maintain records and files of all work as directed
- Make recommendations for design changes or manufacturing process changes
Essential Functions:
- Understand analog and digital circuitry
- Understand software design and use of embedded systems
- Use computer programs to design circuits and hardware; to write text; to capture, save, display and report data
- Use hands and hand tools to model, construct, modify circuits, components, and products
- Handle multiple projects in various stages of completion
- Write accurate technical descriptions and instructions
- Be on time and reliably at work; follow company time-tracking procedures
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience designing analog and digital circuitry
- Experience in use of typical electronics lab and testing equipment
- Knowledge of and ability to learn various programming languages
- Experience simultaneously handling several projects in various stages of completion
- Demonstrable strong technical writing skill
- Demonstrable problem-solving ability
- Minimum of mid-level computer skill
- History of being self motivated, well-organized, proactive, and analytical

- Experience with design and use of wireless data transfer theory, hardware, and systems
- Knowledge of and experience in the HVAC industry
